Welcome to the Rolling Ridge Reading Website!

 Rolling Ridge has 3 Reading Specialists.  Our primary responsibilities are to coordinate the school’s reading program and to help find a way of reaching low-achieving pupils. 

Our reading program at Rolling Ridge is diversified.  In grades K-2 , the Pathways to Reading and Writing instructional model is utilized.  Grades 3-5 use the Houghton Mifflin basal reading series and the Literacy Framework model, along with novel studies and leveled trade books.  Reading is delivered through small and whole group instruction.  Reading Specialists work alongside the teacher in the classroom as well as teaching small groups in the reading room.
