The PTA would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the volunteers this year. It has been an amazing year! 

 Specifically this year, similar to past years, the PTA has supported:

  • Agendas for students in grades 3-5
  • Cultural arts assemblies for all grades
  • Subscriptions for all grades
  • Subsidizing field trips for all grades
  • American Education Week materials for all grades
  • Family events to promote the DTES community
  • ASEP classes for student enrichment
  • Spirit nights and “free-money” fundraising
  • Many other activities

Due to the hard work of volunteers over the past several years, the PTA has been able implement big ticket items this year, including:

  • Installing the playground in early March
  • Purchasing a poster printer for the staff in April
  • Purchasing 10 iPads in early May

Over the summer the PTA Board will identify goals for the 2013-14 school year. If you have suggestions, please email Karen Cornfeld at karenpta@yahoo.com. We plan to send a survey through email for your input this summer. Please take some time to let us know your thoughts.

 We can’t accomplish the goals without volunteers – thank you so much for your time and energy!!!
