Art

     Cedar Art Teacher with students WELCOME TO ART! 
 Art is taught once a week for 50 minutes grades 1-5.  Our art program is based on the state of Virginias' Standards of Learning for Elementary Art Education.  In addition to actual art production, students will learn about famous artists and works of art, express thoughts and feelings about specific works of art through art criticism and engage in aesthetic conversations surrounding art.  Students will gain an appreciation for art, its history and direct effect on our lives.
