Welcome to second grade at Steuart Weller! What an exciting year awaits you. Ms. Collins received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from James Madison University as well as her Master's Degree in Teaching from JMU. She has taught second grade, kindergarten ESL and fourth/fifth grade STEM. She has worked with many different grade levels including pre-kindergarten, third and sixth and has taught ESL exclusively to students ranging from pre-kindergarten to adults. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Washington DC, cheering on the Washington Nationals, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Collins’ goal is to create a positive learning environment where all students can succeed both academically and socially and develop a true love of learning.
Get ready to dive in to an exciting year in second grade! Miss Vetal is excited to begin her second year at Steuart Weller with the Second Grade Cougars! She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University. She has worked with various grade levels including kindergarten, second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. When she isn’t teaching, Miss Vetal loves to travel, run, paint, kayak, and spend time with family and friends. She hopes to bring her energy and passion to the classroom to help her students become excited lifelong learners.

Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She has
taught Kindergarten, first and second grades and has 20 years of experience. Mrs. Hollern enjoys reading, crafting, travel and
spending time with her family. Mrs.
Hollern looks forward to a wonderful year filled with fun and engaging learning
activities which will help her students learn and grow!
Hello Second Graders!! Mrs. Tolosa is originally from Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Elementary Education and she specialized in Reading. She is also licensed as an ESOL K-12 teacher. This is Mrs. Tolosa’s 16th year in teaching, having spent 10 years in FCPS. She has taught a variety of grade levels, but second grade is her one of her favorites. Mrs. Tolosa has lived in Loudoun County for the last 10 years, and is now enjoying raising her children here. She loves to spend time with her family, read, and be crafty. Mrs. Tolosa is ready to inspire her students to become lifelong learners and citizens who are ready to be an integral part of Steuart Weller and the world.
Mrs. Lockett is delighted to be welcoming second graders into her
Room 13 family, and to be a part of the wonderful Weller Wild Cat team! She
has taught first grade for seven years, and is delighted to be a part of the
second grade team this year. She believes that second grade is a true stepping
stone into a world of lifelong learning, and is thrilled with the opportunity
to love, educate and engage your child. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in
English Literature from Queen’s University, Canada, and her Masters in
Elementary Education from George Mason University. In her free time she
loves curling up with a good book, gardening, hiking and traveling with her
