Families Engaging Families Monthly Networking Call  August 25, 2016 ~ 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm

Central Virginia Exceptional Family Fair   September 10, 2016 ~ 9:30 am- 12:30 pm 
Children's Museum of Richmond (CMoR), 2626 W. Broad St., Richmond, VA The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), in collaboration with the Parent Educational Advocacy Center (PEATC) and the Center for Family Involvement (CFI) is holding a family fair for parents of students with disabilities. Registration includes free "all day" admission to the CMoR for a family of up to 6 members. At least one adult must accompany their children at all times.
Family Fair highlights include an inspiring keynote speaker, parent sessions to talk about collaboration with schools and communities, 20+ vendors with information and resources, and networking opportunities. Learn more here.

2016 PEATC Parent and Youth Exhibiting Strength Summit   September 16-17, 2017 
The Great Wolf Lodge, Williamsburg, VA   The goal of the Summit is to increase parents' capacity to help their children with disabilities improve their secondary school learning and post-secondary outcomes and to increase the of capacity of youth to be effective self-advocates. Conference events will kick-off with a Community Networking Reception Friday night, September 16th. Food, beverages, one-night hotel accommodation (Friday 9/16) and summit materials are at no-cost for accepted attendees.
