The library is a wealth of resources for both students and teachers. With over 17,000 volumes there is something to read, research, and explore for everyone. Weekly instruction in library skills as well as time for book checkout is provided. Kindergarten students check out one picture book at a time, while 1st - 5th graders check out one fiction and one non-fiction title. Throughout the school year classes will cover such topics as research skills, identification of types and parts of books, the Dewey Decimal System, using the library catalog, and introductions to different literary genres.
