Mrs. Chodakiewicz (Mrs. C) is thrilled to be a Cool Spring penguin!  In her 14 years of teaching, Mrs. C has worked with all grades (K-6) at the elementary level.  Her Bachelor of Arts degree is in Elementary Education from American University in Washington, DC and her Master of Arts degree is in Gifted Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.  While at Columbia, Mrs. C re-discovered her love of math and later pursued advanced studies in this subject area through George Mason University.  Prior to teaching SEARCH in Loudoun County, Mrs. C was a Talented and Gifted teacher in Alexandria, VA where she taught advanced Language Arts and Math to fourth and fifth grade students.  Mrs. C is actively involved in the National Association for Gifted Children and has presented at their conferences in St. Louis, Atlanta, and most recently in New Orleans, LA.  Mrs. C is also a proud member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Virginia Association of Mathematics Teachers.   In her spare time Mrs. C likes to read, travel, and watch her four year old daughter discover her sense of wonder.  She is looking forward to supporting critical, creative, and reflective thought in every child.
