Important Dates
  • Friday, May 24th - Science SOL - Remember to get a good night's rest and have a healthy breakfast.
  • Tuesday, May 28th - Field Day - Please send your child with sunscreen, a towel, water bottle, and a change of clothes.
  • Thursday, May 30th - Field Trip to the Zoo - Please send your child with a brown bag lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen.  Also, make sure to wear tennis shoes.  We will be doing a lot of walking.  Please do not send any electronics or money.  We will not be going to the gift shop.
Ryan Aksamitowski has been teaching for ten years in Virginia.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University with a major in Elementary Education and minors in Math, Science, and English. He also has a Master in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. Mr. Aksamitowski will be teaching Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies.  His hobbies include running, watching sports, and traveling.
 
Tracie Fey is very excited to be on the 3rd grade team here at Belmont Station Elementary.  She earned a degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  Upon graduation, she taught in a Special Education Program in an elementary school in Hawaii for 3 years.  She moved to Virginia and taught for a few years in Preschool Special Education and Kindergarten in Fairfax County Public Schools. The next 6 years she worked at a small private school here in Ashburn.  This year she will be co-teaching and supporting students in Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.  Her number one hobby is spending time with her 9 year old son, Colby.  Also in her spare time she loves to work out, including running, biking, lifting weights and aerobics.  She is actually a group exercise instructor at a couple local fitness centers.  Ms. Fey is looking forward to making this school year a memorable one!
 

Katie Hunt is excited to start her teaching career at Belmont Station as a third grade teacher.   She recently graduated from James Madison University with her Master of Arts in Teaching where she also received a degree in Elementary Education. Miss Hunt will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies this year.  She loves reading, spending time with her friends and family, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  She is a Loudoun County Public School graduate and excited to return home to begin her career.

Lauren Malan is very excited to continue her second year at Belmont Station Elementary as a third grade teacher. She is a recent graduate from Texas State University with her masters in elementary education. She has a Bachelor of Science from VCU.  Miss Malan is a native to Loudoun County.  She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and playing soccer.

Lindsey Norman is looking forward to working with third graders this year!
She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Elementary Education and finished her graduate program at JMU with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2007. Mrs. Norman will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Science this year. Her first love is the water and she enjoys any activity that takes place at the pool or on the lake.  As a swim coach, Mrs. Norman spends her summers on the pool deck and at the lake, you can usually find her water skiing or tubing behind a boat.  She also enjoys traveling and relaxing while spending time with her friends and family. 
Jennifer Pauley has been teaching in Virginia for eighteen years, thirteen of which have been in Loudoun County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Radford University.  Additionally, she has a Master in Elementary Education from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Pauley will be teaching Language Arts, Math and Science this year. Her hobbies include gardening and reading, as well as spending time with her family. She has two beautiful daughters, Corinne and Morgan.
 
Pam Quinn will be a resource teacher during the 2012– 2013 school year. Mrs. Quinn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master in Special Education, LD/ED, from George Mason University. Mrs. Quinn enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her daughters, Julie, Anna, and Meghan, and her daughter Christi, son-in-law, Brian, and their new baby, Sebastian Alexander. She loves to design and sew draperies and accessories for the home; and find deals on old furniture she can refurbish and sell. Mrs. Quinn looks forward to working with your child this forthcoming school year.

Ryan Rogers is originally from upstate Pennsylvania in a little town called Sayre.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.  He graduated in December of 2004 and soon after moved to Loudoun County.  He is the father to two beautiful girls and has been enjoying every moment with them.  He is also the varsity wrestling coach at Briar Woods High School.  This will be his eighth year at Belmont Station and he is honored to teach your student this year.

 
Maggie Lindsay-Sangster has recently joined Belmont Station as a Resource Assistant.  Maggie moved to Loudoun County 4 years ago from Canada.  She has received her Bachelors of Arts Degree with a major in Sociology and double minor in English and History from Mt. St. Vincent University in Nova Soctia.  She and her husband Paul have three children Anthony, Mark and Lindsay.  They are a sports family often seen supporting local teams at the rink and soccer fields.  She is looking forward to a great year!
