- Attention 7th graders: Academy of Science will be holding an Information Session about the application process on Thursday – May 9th, at 7 pm, for students interested in applying to the program. The session will be at Dominion H.S. Rising 9th graders are also welcome.
- Loudoun County H.S. is having Show Choir auditions next week, May 13th-17th. It will be from 4:00-5:00 pm each day, in the Chorus room at County. A sign-up sheet is available near the 8th grade House office. Also, Mrs. Duncan will be at Simpson on Wednesday – May 22nd, from 3:30-4:30 pm, to audition anyone interested in singing for the Women’s Choir or Concert Choir at County. Sign-ups will also be posted in the 8th grade House announcement area.
- The FINAL Dance Committee meeting will be tomorrow, in the cafeteria after school. We need as many students to attend as possible. Also, if you are interested in helping decorate the cafeteria on Friday, please have your parent send a note to the House Dean and write down what time you should be picked up. - Congratulations to all of our Simpson music students who participated at Hershey Park on Friday! Here are the results:
§ SUPERIOR rating - 8th grade Band, 8th grade Chorus, and Select Chorus
§ EXCELLENT rating – Simpson Orchestra
In addition, Select Chorus was ranked as the Best Overall Choir for the 2nd year in a row. Simpson music students also received as a whole, the “Esprit de Corps Award”, given for outstanding behavior and sportsmanship during the competition. A great job representing Simpson and congratulations for all your hard work and accomplishments!
- Congrats to the winner of Mrs. Wilfong’s Shark Tank investment and advertising challenge – Wisemen, Inc., who sold property in the 4th dimension! This team had the highest overall profit and tied with several others for the highest capital invested. Well done!!
- Teachers and Staff, to show their appreciation, Deans Fritz, Lindsay-Law, and Loiselle, will be cooking breakfast for you tomorrow morning. Please visit the FACS kitchen from 8:00-8:30 am.
