Fellow Titans,

As we embark upon our tenth school year, we continue our vigorous pursuit of our noble mission to promote the success of each and every Dominion High School student. Our first nine years have been marked by extraordinary achievement and we will continue to strive for ever-increasing measures of accomplishment.

In an effort to fulfill our mission, we are committed to the emergence of a school culture that is characterized by high expectations for all students within a distinctly personal environment. Toward this end, we will continue to implement strategies that have been instrumental in boosting student achievement. Among the most important of these strategies, each student at Dominion High School is an integral member of a "Clubhouse," a diverse group of 13 students. Each group is led by a staff member, who serves as the clubhouse manager. Clubhouses meet for 20 minutes every Tuesday and Wednesday to address three key priorities for student achievement: personal goal-setting, literacy, and life skills. During each clubhouse meeting one of these three priorities will be addressed. We anticipate continued personal growth for our Titans as a direct result of the positive relationships that will be established between the manager and the players in each clubhouse.

In an effort to enhance the achievement of each and every student, Dominion parents, students, and teachers have implemented a comprehensive Communication Plan. This plan is designed to ensure that parents, students, and teachers use existing structures at the high school to supplement strong interpersonal relationships to support and monitor student achievement. New this year, Dominion High School students and parents will be empowered to monitor academic progress through an online portal called CLARITY. We are confident that CLARITY's presence will enhance our students' ability to track their academic progress relative to the personal goals that they have established. Meanwhile, this additional communication tool will further empower parents in their ability to support student success.

Toward the success of each and every Titan, we look forward to working collaboratively with parents, guardians, and community members, even as we celebrate our tenth year! Goooooooooooooo Titans!

In your service,

John
