My name is Donna Bryn and this is my sixth year as the STEP preschool program teacher at Sycolin Creek. I received my B.A. from Lake Forest College, my M.Ed. from Northern Arizona, and completed my Administrative coursework and internship through Northern Arizona University.I have been working in education for twenty years, teaching preschool and elementary grades, and working in student counseling and program planning at The University of Arizona. I have undertaken the goal of National Board Certification, a rigorous process that involves self-reflection and evaluation of myself as a teacher. I am passionate about developing the minds and hearts of our youngest learners and look forward to how this process will further strengthen my teaching. I truly enjoy both seeing and experiencing the academic learning and social growth that take place every day in the classroom as I prepare the children for kindergarten, and thank you for entrusting your child to me.
I am fortunate to have with me in the classroom Karen Ward, my awesome teaching assistant. Karen is dedicated to helping children succeed and enjoy school and brings to the STEP classroom many years of experience working with children of this age. It is wonderful to have such a capable partner in the classroom. Together we make a great team. Welcome, families, to our year together in STEP Preschool!
