Ethel Woodson ~ School Counselor (shown on right)

Mrs. Woodson is the full-time school counselor at Leesburg Elementary School; she has worked in the county since 1994 and has held her position at Leesburg since 1996. Prior to joining the faculty and staff of Leesburg Elementary, Mrs. Woodson provided assistance at Cool Spring, Catoctin, and Sanders Corner Elementary School. She has served in a variety of counseling positions in education and family support programs throughout the United States and abroad. Mrs. Woodson received her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Central Michigan University. She enjoys spending her leisure time with family, traveling when possible, and skiing. She is an avid cook and enjoys crocheting and reading. Mrs. Woodson believes Leesburg Elementary School's Mediation Program is an essential component of the counseling services.
 
 
Allison Hamilton ~ School Counselor (shown on left)
Ms. Hamilton will be working at Leesburg ES on Wednesdays this year with kindergarten and 2nd grades.  Ms. Hamilton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware.  Ms. Hamilton completed graduate studies in Counseling Psychology while at Marymount University.  Afterwards, Ms. Hamilton attended George Mason University, where she completed a Post-Master’s Certificate program in School Counseling.  Previously, Ms. Hamilton has worked for Loudoun County Public Schools as a Special Education Counselor and the Community Coalition Coordinator.  Prior to beginning her career in education, Ms. Hamilton worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for Fairfax County’s Alcohol and Drug Services Youth Division and as a Substance Abuse Specialist/Probation Officer for the Juvenile Court Services Unit in Manassas, VA
