Other Information:

Hello.  My name is Sally Toner, and I teach English 11 Academic and English 11 Honors here at Broad Run.  I am a native of Staunton, Virginia and a graduate of the College of William and Mary.  After receiving my B.A. in English, I returned to Staunton where I completed a teacher’s certification program at Mary Baldwin College. I took my first teaching position as an English teacher at Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville where I spent two years.  My husband’s work caused us to move to Northern Virginia, and this is my 18th year teaching in the area.  I am also the parent of a ninth grader, Aimee, and a fifth grader, Sara.

I hope that my experience and openness to new ideas will contribute to a great year for all of us, and I believe very strongly in being accessible to parents and students.   So please, if you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to contact me either through the office at Broad Run, (571)252-2300, or by e-mail, which you can reach by clicking the link above.

I am very excited about working with you, and I am confident this will be a successful year for everyone.

Sincerely,

Sally Toner
