Biography

Kristin Bashore
 
Health Clinic Specialist 
 
 
Mrs. Bashore holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of Mary Washington.  She brings 15 years of experience in community health education, and USAID- funded health programs to the clinic at Potowmack Elementary.  She worked in Quezon City, Philippines at feeding clinics where she administered (liquid) vitamins to rice brought in by local residents and their children.  Prior to working at Potowmack Elementary, she was a substitute teacher and a certified clinic substitute with Loudoun County Public Schools.
 
Mrs. Bashore is certified in First Aid, CPR/AED, Diabetes Management and Medication Administration.  She has also trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and Disaster Preparedness.  She has volunteered extensively with the American Red Cross, teaching courses in Babysitting/Safe Sitter, Water Safety, and HIV/AIDS Education & Prevention.  She is a member of the Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps, where she has served as a health educator, and has assisted in implementing various services offered to the public by the Loudoun County Health Department.
 
Mrs. Bashore is committed to providing the best possible care to all Potowmack students and communicating their needs to parents, teachers and administrators.  Her hours begin in the health clinic each day at 7:30 a.m.
