Mrs. Olmes has been teaching Science for eight years, six of those years were in Loudoun County Public Schools. Mrs. Olmes began her teaching career as a Teacher Naturalist in Northern California for middle school students in the San Francisco Bay area. Mrs. Olmes studied Ecology and Systematic Biology and Environmental Studies at California Polytechnic State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science. She earned her teaching credential from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Olmes loves teaching biology and learning about the natural world, she even lived in the Biosphere in Arizona! Mrs. Olmes loves being outside hiking, running, swimming and going to the beach. She is married and loves spending time with her family. Mrs. Olmes will be teaching 7th grade Life Science at J. Michael Lunsford MS and is excited to meet new Lions! Mrs. Olmes is looking forward to a great school year!
